Once in a Blue Moon –
Lori Foster
Since he
moved to Delicious, Ohio,
Sam Tucker has desired bookstore owner, Jenna Rowan from afar. She
never showed
the same interest in him however, so he kept his distance and tried to
move on.
But on the night of the blue moon, Sam becomes privy to the
townspeople’s
thoughts. He’s overwhelmed by grocery lists, appointments, marital
dilemmas,
but nothing surprises him more than Jenna’s thoughts. As he glimpses
into her
thoughts, he finds himself the star of her x-rated fantasies. Knowing
that
Jenna desires him makes Sam yearn for her as never before. Will Sam act
on the
knowledge that Jenna wants him too? What will happen after the blue
moon?
Once in a Blue Moon is a great story with
even better
characters. Sam and Jenna really made this story come alive. Sam is
yummy and
I’d want him howling after me any day or night! Ms. Foster writes a hot
and
sexy tale that readers can enjoy.
Moon
Magnetism – Lucy Monroe
For
generations, the women in Ivy Kendall’s family have dreaded the blue
moon. On
that day they have more magnetic power than all hydro lines put
together. For
decades Ivy’s family has put up with it, but now in the year 2005, with
hard
drives, computers, and a lot of technical gadgets controlling nearly
everything, Ivy really dreads the blue moon. When her boss, Blake
Hawthorne
arrives at the hotel she manages in Delicious, Ohio, wanting to know
why things
there haven’t been upgraded with computers to make things easier, Ivy
has to
come clean with him, knowing he won’t believe her. The electricity Ivy
feels
when she’s around Blake seems more powerful than anything she feels
during the
blue moon…
Lucy Monroe’s
Moon Magnetism is a unique story that
a reader can find themselves curious about. While this story was very
good as
is, I felt that it would have been more electric as a full-length tale.
It
could have been more explosive as a longer tale that explains the whys
and hows
of what Ivy has gone through to a fuller capacity. I also found that
while
Blake found Ivy’s power unbelievable, when she does show him, he
readily
accepts it rather quickly after denying adamantly before.
Moon
Magnetism is a good story at its present length, I only found
myself
wanting to know more about Ivy’s powers and more could have been
explored for
this story. Ivy and Blake heat up the pages, but leave a reader wanting
more.
Moonstruck – Diane Castell
After
ending her marriage to a cheating man, Julie Simon feels alive for the
first
time in her life. As she’s leaving the courthouse after her divorce is
final,
she hopes her ex falls into the town fountain…which he does. Hmmmm…. Then she wishes that the hunk of Delicious,
Ohio, P.I., Mark Adams will ask her out and they’ll have mind-blowing
sex…
which he does and they do!... Hmmmm….
Only then does Julie realize, that the blue moon is
granting her wishes,
but dare she ask for what she really wants? One night with Mark only
whets her
appetite and she wants more. After a failed marriage, is Julie ready
for
another man in her life? Will the blue moon grant her ultimate wish?
Moonstruck is a delightful story
which brings
author Diane Castell into this reader’s life – one whom I hope to read
again
and again. I truly enjoyed this story, the characters and it was fun to
see
Julie’s wishes come true. This is a wonderful story and a new author to
put on
my must read list.
Star
Quality
showcases three very talented authors.
The stories are tied together by the setting of Delicious, Ohio, as well
as the blue moon. It’s a
wonderful and gripping time while reading this anthology. Fantasy
romance could
be given a lot more if Lucy Monroe, Lori Foster and Diane Castell
jumped into
this genre with both feet. Each story is a one of a kind and definitely
are a must
read. This is an anthology not to be missed.
