John
Russell has it all - a great family, rewarding job as an agent with the
Florida
Department of Law Enforcement, and faith like a rock. But when
his life
starts to spin out of control during a case involving a ten-year old
boy
missing from state care and the reappearance of his birth father,
John’s faith
starts to take a beating. How can God allow this child to
disappear into
the unknown and the killer of John’s mother to be released from
prison?
John must face more than failure. He must face the paralyzing
fear of Rolling
Thunder.
I highly
recommend new writer Mark Mynheir’s book Rolling Thunder for
anyone
looking for a good suspense novel. Its obvious Mynheir’s time in
law
enforcement has given him a talent for writing true emotion and facts
dealing
with crime and the criminal mind. The characters are real and
grip you
with the emotional situations in which they find themselves.
Setting is
done very well, giving the reader a good backdrop for a story of
abiding love,
faith, and forgiveness of others. The faith element in Rolling
Thunder
will hit close to home for many people dealing with family situations
from
childhood and the lasting effects those relationships can have. A
satisfying ending will also leave the reader believing nothing is
impossible
for God no matter how bleak it looks.
Rolling
Thunder,
the first
book in the Truth Chasers series, is sure to be a hit and I cannot wait
for the
next one to come out. Well done.
