René
LeDeux, an environmentalist in D.C., heads back to his remote cabin in
the
Louisiana Bayou to spend time with his family and have a bit of R&R
time.
Unfortunately with is Tante Lulu around, R&R is unattainable. With
St. Jude
statues ever present and her matchmaking scheme in full swing,
René has to
continually duck the thunderbolts of love that Tante Lulu aims his way.
Especially
when his pals, and fellow environmentalists, kidnap Valerie Breux,
leaving her
on his doorstep. They hope that D.C will acquiesce to their desires and
kidnapping Valerie, a reporter is the way to go.
Unfortunately
for René, he’s very familiar with Valerie “Ice” Breaux. After on
embarrassing
encounter with Val in high school, neither has seen eye to eye since.
But being
together in the bayou has René and Val surrendering to the
undeniable feelings
they have for one another. Even when Val returns home, neither is far
from the
other’s thoughts.
As Val and
René work together to showcase the bayou in a documentary that
will help their
cause in D.C., they are forced to deal with their pasts, try to work
out their
differences and find a way to be together. Why wouldn’t they succeed
with Tante
Lulu around?
This is
another awesome Cajun romance in the bayou from Sandra Hill. The third
story in
the Cajun Bad Boy series, Ms. Hill once again let’s the good times roll
with
the LeDeux family. René and Val are two characters abusive pasts
have shaped
their present, and it’s up to them to grab hold of love to make their
future
even better. With sass, humour, adventure and great characters (the
entire
LeDeux clan is present and accounted for!); The
Red-Hot Cajun has to be my favourite of the series so far. Ms.
Hill
really delves into the hearts of her characters, which snares them into
the
hearts of her audience.
I really
hope that in the future, we are graced with Tee-John’s story.
Throughout this
series I have always looked for him and love his slapstick
mischievousness,
which is similar to his Tante Lulu’s!
Hopefully someday, Ms. Hill will write his story.
In The
Red-Hot Cajun, another sexy
Cajun finds love in the bayou. Don’t miss it!
