This is a romance with a fresh twist.
Widow Annie Harlowe lives at the end of Long Island with her two children. Although she is near The Hamptons, her lifestyle doesn't resemble that of the Hamptonites. She supplements her income by baking cookies for a caterer friend, and sometimes she works as a waitress at his parties. That's where she meets Thomas Brannock IV.
Thomas has become disillusioned by his lifestyle and is looking for some meaning in his life. But Annie has a secret. She calls her dead husband's cell phone just to hear his voice. One time she did this, a strange thing happened.
If you like a romance with almost insurmountable odds, you will enjoy reading this well-written book. If you like a little something beyond the natural, this definitely is the book for you.
