Ollie
Benson tolerates his life. Computers and a job with little human
contact
suit him just fine. He refuses to look at his severely overweight
self in
a mirror and compensates for his life by cooking huge, gourmet meals
for
one. He’d like more in life, but how?
When his
computer program, Moviemaker.com, hits the world with a bang, his life
changes,
drastically. Rich beyond his dreams, people fawning all over him
and a
new friend to help him along the way take Ollie on a ride he’s not
ready
for. A new love brings meaning to his previous existence and more
pain
than he could imagine.
A betrayal
of the worst sort sends Ollie into a tailspin. Thankful for his
squirreling away of some of the money with no one the wiser, Ollie sets
out to
gain revenge. But who will be hurt most if he succeeds? Can
real
love change everything?
What a
ride. Charade shows the highs and lows of life. The
right
people coming into a life can make a huge difference in our outlook and
Ollie
finds this out. Realistic and emotionally satisfying, Charade
gives the reader a glimpse into how fleeting fame and fortune can be as
well as
how our minds need to be focused on something greater than ourselves if
we want
to survive.
I recommend
this book, highly. Gilbert Morris does a good job of getting
Ollie into
your heart and telling the story of love and faith with insight into
the human
condition.
