Elizabeth is tired of being the perfect little wife. Feeling the need for excitement she finds a whole new world of carnal delights on the internet. This is where she meets Richard. He fulfills her every desire, and introduces new techniques and passions into her mundane life. Now the time has come, he is visiting New York City and they have decided to rendezvous. With butterflies in her stomach and a bag full of 'toys' Richard specifically asked for she heads off to meet her cyber lover.
This is turning into a case of 'you should be careful what you wish for'. Richard, while as nummy as he described is turning out not to be the beautifully talented foreign lover that Elizabeth had hoped for. He is fulfilling his promise to show her sexual practices she'd only heard of, but is it worth it?
Three Days in New York City is a surprisingly funny novel. With the big 4 - 0 looming on the horizon Elizabeth has a mid life crisis in the form of a dashing European, with a to die for accent that talks a big game and is into some very kinky sex. When Elizabeth and Richard do finally get together it is not exactly what she had hoped it would be. But there are perks. This is a book of many dark desires, with a few laughs intermixed. The awkward moments that Richard and Elizabeth share are to be expected, as is the lightening hot sex. Three Days in New York City is a novel about a middle aged mom, unsure of what she wants, trying to live life to the fullest.
