Kim and Wolf have an instant attraction to one another but Kim is reluctant to pursue the connection. Having been hurt by a rodeo star in the past, Kim does not want to risk her heart to another cowboy. Wolf is determined to have a relationship with Kim and works to change her mind about cowboys.
If Kimbrel Westbrooke, Kim to her friends, had not been running late as usual, she might not have met Wolf Voegler. He was what she craved in a man—tall, dark and gorgeous. His accent thrills her as much as the rest of him does. When she looks at him, Erotic images cloud her mind. Unfortunately, Wolf is a cowboy and Kim does not become involved with cowboy. Being involved with a cowboy has left Kim heartbroken in the past. Kim can barely control her body’s response to Wolf.
Wolf is attracted to Kim from the moment she bumps into him. Wolf is determined to get to know Kim. She seems to be attracted to him and he most definitely wants her. As the two spend time together, Wolf begins to have feelings for Kim. He does not know if they are forever feelings, but he would like to see where the relationship goes. Kim seems to be willing to sleep with him, but is not looking for anything more. How can he change her mind?
This story of modern love is the sequel to Ms. O’Dare’s Pickup Man. I enjoyed that this couple had an instant attraction but they each wanted more. The author’s snappy dialogue and the chemistry between Kim and Wolf make this a thoroughly enjoyable read.
