Genae is horrified to discover that her father is a homicidal maniac intent upon destroying all races but his own. In desperation, she gains her
father's trust and steals some valuable information to prove that her claims are real. She is in shock that the man she thought she knew is in reality completely different and trying to kill her to get the information she stole back. Kai is one of the non-humans that she believes her father is setting out to destroy. Desperate, Genae must decide whether on not she will be able to trust Kai, or go on her own.
Kai is captivated by Genae from the moment that he pulled her out of her wrecked spacecraft. They've been on the run in horrible conditions, and she has come through it admirably. He
doesn't know what she's done to be the center of this hunt, but he's sure that he will stand by her no matter what it is. He has to make sure that Genae understands that she is his mate, and his kind mates for life.
He's positive they can work through whatever her problems are; until he finds out she is the daughter of a man he hates.
PALADIN'S PRIDE 2: HIS BY RITE takes you from a savage land that will set on fire or disintegrate anything not natural, to a space ship that can take you anywhere in the galaxy. This is part of an ongoing series, and I would highly suggest that you read the first in the series to understand what is going on in the second, because Angelina Evans
doesn't take a whole lot of time to review that first story. I have read the first one, and I think that the second one is even better. There is action and plenty of sex to go in this fast paced story. Angelina Evans has a way of writing a sex scene that really makes them sizzle and grab your attention. Genae is a great character that has found herself in an impossible situation. Kai is a strong person who will stop at nothing to keep Genae at his side. The ending really left me hanging, waiting anxiously for the next in the series. I will definitely be on the look out for more from this talented author.
