Determined
to prove herself to her family, Torrie Masters won’t let anything – or
anyone –
stand in her way on her first voyage for her family’s shipping
business. This
trip will prove to her brothers that she can captain any ship and claim
her
rightful spot in the family business.
But Torrie never expected the masked man, known as
The Ghost Rider, to
hijack her ship. She never expected the man beneath the mask to change
her life
forever…
Qaade Deter
is the leader of the Ghost Riders, a band of pirates. He is also the
leader of
a slave rescue network. When he hijacks
the ship captured by Torrie Masters, the medical supplies onboard are
out of
his reach when he has to rescue her from slavery.
Together,
Torrie and Qaade, have the fate of hundreds in their hands. They must
work
together for the many slaves who need them. Will Torrie’s quest to
prove
herself to her brothers fall to the waist-side for something bigger
than
anything she ever knew existed? With Qaade, Torrie finds a larger
importance in
life…
With this
fourth installment of the Unforgettable series (“Un…ed”), C.J. Barry’s
latest story,
Unmasked, is her best yet in
my opinion! The combination of science
fiction, romance, futuristic world, powerful characters and stellar
writing,
readers are blown away with this story. It’s exciting, fast-paced and
dangerous. Qaade is a heck of a hero who invades Torrie’s ship and the
heart of
the reader. This is an exceptional hero
partnered with an equally awesome heroine. Torrie is a warrior, a
pirate
herself, with a lot to prove, yet knows when to accept what is. Both
are
fantastic characters who blend smoothly with the plot, the action and
the
romance. Ms. Barry bends it all together with a masterful pen.
Unmasked is a recipient of The
Road to
Romance Reviewer’s Choice Award for all the above and for staying with
a reader
days after being read. Unmasked
is like an action-packed movie just waiting to make it to the big
screen. Very
highly recommended to readers who want it all in their stories and a
sequel
that does superb justice to its prequels.
