Winnie
Graham has loved her boss, Morgan Grady from afar for years. Knowing that Morgan will never see her as
anything but his secretary, she starts looking for another job. Winnie
can’t
handle working side by side with Morgan any longer; her feelings for
him are
just too strong to deal with. She hopes
“out of sight, out of mind” will cure her aching heart and help her
move on.
But when Morgan begins to show an interest in her, Winnie questions
everything
and wonders if her dreams of a life with Morgan could come true.
Morgan
Grady, dubbed New York’s
Sexiest Bachelor and Man of the Year, is more than eager to get out of
dodge
and out of the limelight. Tired of women
falling at his feet and the media hounding him, Morgan decides to end
it all
and give them something to really talk about … he’s going to find
himself a
wife. When he learns that his secretary, Winnie, has a job interview
and is
thinking of leaving him, Morgan realizes what he has in front of him,
and comes
to the conclusion that Winnie would make the perfect wife and proposes
to her.
He knows he can trust her, but the desire he feels for her catch him
off guard
and he plans to keep her for himself. Now, if only he can prove to
Winnie that
he wants her for life…
Jane
Porter’s The Secretary’s Seduction
was superb. I absolutely loved Winnie Graham!
Winnie is a genuine soft-hearted woman who
captivates her audience. I
enjoyed the feistiness she exhibits in the story as she fights for what
she
wants to hold on to. In the beginning I was put off a bit by Morgan’s
cool
demeanor and his indifference to Winnie, however, he grew on me and at
the end,
I found him to be a magnetic hero.
Ms.
Porter’s wonderful and descriptive words of the gorgeous island that
Morgan and
Winnie spirited away to, transfixes a reader. I wish I could find a
place like
Morgan’s private island! This was a very enjoyable and even
tear-jerking
romance. Winnie really captured this story and held it as her own. Jane
Porter
penned a wonderful contemporary romance that readers can enjoy. It’s
one of Ms.
Porter’s best yet.
