DA
Prosecutor, Tess Jacobi takes on the most controversial case of her
life, and
it just might mean her life as she is stalked and threatened.
Tess takes
on new client, Kelly Martin, a Midwesterner who came to California to
make it big in show business.
But one horrible evening with the LA “son” to football fans,
Quarterback,
Sledge Aikens’ rapes her. Kelly never thought her life would turn into
media
frenzy, more drama than she could handle, or the hatred she feels from
those
loyal fans of Aikens’ who won’t believe her.
Its Tess’
job to uncover the truths of that fateful night and prove the all-star
isn’t
what he seems. Tess takes her boss’ advice to hire an outside
investigator to
help her bring Aiken’s to justice.
P.I. Lucas
Novak is hired by Tess’ father who hears the threatening phone calls
his
daughter has received. As Tess and Lucas work together on behalf of the
victim,
Tess’ life is in danger, as is Lucas. What was a case of rape soon
becomes one
of murder and terror, where there seems to be No Escape.
Heather
Lowell’s second novel, No Escape
is a fast-paced suspense tale that fans of the genre can enjoy. Tess is
a
strong woman who is endeared to the reader for the fact that she’s an
honest
attorney who fights for what is right. Tess captured my attention as a
powerful
heroine from the beginning and was consistent through this story.
No Escape is a great story full of
drama,
suspense and memorable characters. I look forward to reading more by
Heather
Lowell in the future.
