Defense attorney Leslie Conner is about to try her first case – and nothing goes as it should. Never mind that Leslie and her law partner Brad Carson are about to tie the knot – if they can find the time, Leslie’s client is a bratty rich princess who seems bound to get herself convicted. Why? She’s charged with murdering her abusive step-father, why would she give herself up for this if it’s not true? Leslie knows something is not right, but can’t figure out what is the truth.
In addition to the quirky client, Leslie learns she suffers from a rare heart condition requiring surgery to fix it. Leslie doesn’t want to be disfigured by the surgery, and she doesn’t want to tell Brad – it’s not fair to burden him with this, too.
Through friendship, faith and love, Leslie will deal with all the trials in her life, but in doing so will she win in any of the situations or will defeat hit her on all bases?
SELF INCRIMINATION is a suspense filled page-turning read and a must read for those who enjoy legal thrillers. Mr. Singer’s writing is smooth and tight, his character’s real and sympathetic, the plot has a great mix of story and twists to keep you reading to the very satisfying adrenalin packed end. Highly recommended.
