Rogue is on
his first assignment with the Ravens.
The Unkindness of Ravens is a family of vampire
hunters. Rogue’s Aunt Grace married into
the
Unkindness and the rest of the family welcomed Rogue as well. Though young and inexperienced, Rogue is
determined to prove himself worthy of their trust; especially John, the
patriarch who is his back up. Bagged
blood has been turning up missing regularly at a hospital in a small
town. Rogue is undercover as a janitor on
the night
shift.
All Kaitlyn
wanted was one night to let loose, far from the wagging tongues in her
small
town. Her trip to the underground club
Chained turned into a life-altering experience.
The dangerously sexy Nicolas who studded her fantasy
one-night stand
left her with an aversion to light, a thirst for blood and a burning
sensuality. As a lab technician at the
local hospital, Kaitlyn is determined to isolate the weird disease of
the blood
she has contracted. She has no other
alternative label herself as vampire.
She believes that she is going insane.
Vampires cannot exist…can they?
Rogue meets
Kaitlyn his first night on assignment.
Instant combustion between these two has him
pursuing her like the rogue
he is named for. When her car will not
start at the end of their shift near dawn and she is almost in a panic,
Rogue
takes her home. He discovers Kaitlyn’s
secret, she is the quarry that he has been sent to destroy. There is no way that he will let John or the
rest of the Unkindness destroy her. She
has his heart and soul, Rogue is determined to find a way to cure her.
I have been
waiting for Rogue’s story for quite some time.
Ms. Neeley has a way with vampires and vampire
hunters unique only to
her. As expected, Rogue
the Redeemer is touching and sexy as hell.
Rogue has always been, well a rogue where
women are involved. To see him fall, for
someone who is considered his enemy was beautifully ironic. I was on the edge of my seat when dark and
dangerous John Raven discovered what Kaitlyn is, as he suffers no
vampire to
live. Kaitlyn’s abhorrence of what she
had become brought tears to my eyes. To
suddenly wake up a monster after letting loose the first and only time
seemed
grossly unfair. Her instant connection
with Rogue and the mind-blowing sex that follows sets the pages aflame. Sadly ladies, it seems that we are running
out of Ravens…perhaps we can persuade Ms. Neeley to pull a few more out
from
the woodwork…as it will be such a shame to see this hot, hot, hot
series
end. Have ice water handy, and I hope
you enjoy Rogue’s journey as much as I did.
