Marlee has finally
managed to start a new life after running from her
violent ex-husband for the last ten months.
She’s gotten a new identity, a new job, and is
starting to feel somewhat
safe. She’s working for a law firm as a
girl Friday, when things start to go horribly wrong.
Someone has broken into their computer system
and stolen some very valuable files, and all the evidence points to her. She didn’t have anything to do with it, but
she
can’t prove it and is the obvious suspect. The
last thing she wants to do is go to jail, so
she tells the lawyers that she will do anything to avoid doing time. She has no idea just how they intend to have
her repay her debt…
Punished is told
exclusively from Marlee’s point of view, and I found it sexy and
entertaining. Marlee is a bit bewildered
by what has happened to her, and can’t understand why these six men
want
her. After all, she thinks she is old
and fat, and that they would want their younger secretary and not her.
The
sexual journey she goes on makes her a more self-confident person in
the end,
and I liked how the author manages to turn it into that without being
obvious. The
lawyers aren’t really likeable, but then the story really isn’t about
them. The
sex is hot and steamy with some bondage and plenty of sex throughout
the story.
If you are looking for
something
different and exciting, Punished shouldn’t be missed.
