Joanna and
Lucas had it all – successful careers and a happy marriage. The stress
of their
careers has caused their relationship to unravel.
When Joanna found her husband with another
woman, their marriage was over. She is trying to move forward when her
husband, Lucas comes back into her life.
He wants another chance and he wants his wife back. Joanna issues a challenge to Lucas but she is
surprised when he asks for one too; control versus trust – who will be
the
winner of this contest?
Joanna is a
strong and vibrant woman with one huge weakness: Lucas.
The man makes her body sing and knows which of her
buttons to push. Her brain tells her one
thing, but her body
tells her another and her sexual desires are winning the battle. Joanna
does her best to put him through the wringer, as his trustworthiness is
in
question. Lucas is a driven man as he
tries to win back the love of his life.
He is a businessman who is under pressure to succeed. He knows he lost a treasure when Joanna left
him and he desperately wants her back.
Lucas is an alpha male to the core.
The author does a good job of developing their
characters and the reader
can understand what their motivations are, however, they did not
emotionally
connect with this reader.
Joanna’s Challenge is an interesting book
with strong
lead characters. The storyline is
complex with many secondary characters who take an active part in
furthering
the plot. The sexual tension is set
on
high and in keeping with what is expected from an Ellora’s Cave book.
