For eighty
years the cruise liner, “SS Magestic”, owned by the St. Croix family has been docked. Centuries ago,
the owner, Randolph
St. Croix had jilted his high-society fiancée for a poor waif,
Daisy Alton.
Speculation states that Randolph
was murdered by Daisy, and that she then committed suicide. But nothing
was
ever proven, except that priceless St. Croix family jewels were
missing, as was
the gun Daisy had supposedly used to kill Randolph.
People feared sailing on the cruise liner from that point forth,
claiming
Daisy’s ghost resided on the ship.
Now, eighty
years later, Sexton St. Croix plans to set “SS Magestic” cruising out
at sea
once again. But to renovate the cruise
liner has proven hazardous and frustrating as Daisy Alton’s ghosts
scares off
guests and crew. Sexton decides to be rid of Daisy once and for all,
and books
a five-day psychic cruise. Onboard is Bree Emery, a psychic who seems
more
reputable than the rest and Sexton hopes she can help him rid Daisy (or
her
memory) from his life forever.
But what is
the real truth about what happened to Randolph St. Croix and Daisy
Alton? Will
Sexton, whom Bree has come to care about, accept the truth that she
uncovers? Is Bree Emery the answer to
Sexton’s prayers?
Crazy For You is my first story by
Kate Angell,
and I know it won’t be my last. Romantic, a bit comedic, some
paranormal
psychic elements and a tad dash of mystery about Daisy Alton, packs it
all in wondrously
for readers to enjoy in this story. With
a wonderful cast of enjoyable characters, including a secondary
romance, a
reader is anxious to learn the truths of the past and see the romance
blossom,
yet unwilling to have this story end.
Kate Angell
has penned a purely enjoyable romance that fans of the genre won’t want
to
miss. Crazy For You has me
sitting up and taking notice of a new author to add to my auto-buy
list. I
can’t wait to read more of her future works.
