In exchange for Pastor Brandon Flannigan’s assistance in planning Claire’s best friend Nolie’s wedding to Claire’s cousin Gabe, Claire agrees to help some troubled teens. Trouble starts at the very beginning when this agreement is made mostly because the two are hard-headed and won’t give in.
Claire Delaney’s job as an executive assistant does not afford her much experience in the field of helping kids, but Pastor Brandon seems to think she can. And, what is it about this Pastor anyways? He’s so obnoxious and stubborn and yet, she thinks about him at the oddest time – and the thoughts aren’t always about the wedding.
The story is clear to the reader and it’s quite evident love is simmering in their hearts, but we have to wonder if the two of them will be able to hear God’s plan for them over their own stubbornness.
This new addition to the Flannigan series is peppered with snappy dialogue and fully realized characters. Ms. Perry writes a convincing story and it’s a delight to peek in on the Flannigan's and catch a slice of life from a member of this clan.
