STRANDED IN PARADISE by Lori Copeland

Ready to take the next step up the corporate ladder, Tess Nelson is totally unprepared when her boss fires her and replaces her with an old college buddy. Since she already has a ticket to Hawaii, where she was supposed to go on business, Tess decides to take a well-deserved vacation at her boss’s expense. After all, he owes her that much. Her dream trip is a disaster from the get-go though, when she discoveres that her ankle and airports simply don’t mix. Nursing a sprained ankle, she figures nothing else can possibly go wrong.

She is mistaken. A lost contact lens, luggage that doesn’t arrive, a hotel fire, and a hurricane that is headed straight toward land all add up to make this one tropical vacation that Tess won’t soon forget. Add in an annoying man who thinks Tess is following him and an eccentric old woman who wears a cat around her neck for comic relief to an otherwise stressful situation. Can anything about this vacation possibly be right?

STRANDED IN PARADISE is an adorable, sweet romance—and there are parts of it I wish I would have thought of first. I laughed all the way through the book, and shared parts of it with my husband and kids. Tess is a realistic heroine who’s had a rough life and doesn’t expect an easy ride. It takes a lot for her to learn to trust—especially in situations where seasoned believers will have trouble seeing God’s hand. I wondered if Tess would discover the God who truly loves her.

Pick up a copy of STRANDED IN PARADISE for a read you won’t soon forget. Ideal to pack into your purse or briefcase for a quick pick-me-up. The comic events will have you laughing out loud. Discussion questions are included in the back, making this ideal for book clubs too.
