After her fiancé dumps her for the office slut, Arissa Montague says she’s finished with relationships. She doesn’t want sex because it leads to relationships, but her best friend Drae thinks Arissa needs some great sex and the quicker she gets it, the better. Then Drae finds 1-800-SEX4YOU, which guarantees total anonymity, fabulous accommodations and all the toys you could want. 1-800-SEX4YOU is Drae’s last hope in her campaign to “Get-Arissa-Laid-So-She’ll-Stop-Whining.” Arissa agrees to go, so long as Drae will get off her back.
Derek Mortenson is a long time patron of 1-800-SEX4YOU. He is such a good client, that he now gets to pick his partners. 1-800-SEX4YOU is great for Derek, a workaholic who doesn’t want a relationship because he doesn’t have time and can’t have the woman he wants—Arissa. When he’s going through the tapes at 1-800-SEX4YOU to find a partner he sees Arissa’s tape and can’t believe his luck. He’s been attracted to Arissa since the day he hired her. In fact, he almost didn’t hire her because of his attraction to her and knowing he can’t have her because she’s an employee and at the time she was engaged. Derek has 1-800-SEX4YOU set up the sex date for him and Arissa. He requires that one of them must wear a half-hood at all times so Arissa won’t know who he is. He can’t wait to finally have her and get her out of his system.
Everything is going great until Derek, of all people, gets cold feet. Afraid Arissa will find out who he is somehow, he decides to reveal his identity. To say she’s shocked is an understatement. To say she’s tempted, well let’s just say curiosity and lust make her stay and see the encounter through.
1-800-SEX4YOU is a very amusing story that had me laughing most of the way through. Oh, and let’s not forget, it’s also very hot. Arissa and Derek are very interesting characters and the book is told first person from each of their point’s of view. Their witty repartee is one of the things that hooked me. I loved Drae, Arissa’s best friend … couldn’t we all use a friend like her!! Erotic comedy is hard to pull off, but Chris Tanglen and Michele R. Bardsley do it with ease. If you need a good laugh and some hot sex, don’t miss 1-800-SEX4YOU.
