Special
Agent, Kendal Smart, has something to prove to her bosses. As a woman
in the
FBI, she is always going to be looked upon differently than men and how
she
does the job. When she gets the chance to go undercover for the first
time,
she’s ready for the challenge. But as a trainer for a wrestler, under
the guise
of “Big K”, Kendal finds things might be tougher than she expected. Eager to find the drug pushers using the
wrestling federation as a means to push their drugs, Kendal meets her
match
with a female wrestler who is desperate to have “Big K” for herself and
the
wrestler she needs to train, “Python”, sets her heart racing and her
body
betrays her better judgment. Will Kendal’s first undercover assignment
be
threatened by her attraction to “Python”?
As she falls for him more and more each day, can she
keep her true
identity from him?
Owen, aka
“Python”, swore he would never step inside a wrestling ring again after
his
last opponent died during their match a few years ago.
But when his friend, an FBI agent convinces
him to help them out by being an “inside” man during a case, he agrees.
Out of
shape and still hesitant to get back in the ring, Owen’s strength is
really put
to the test by his new sexy trainer, “Big K”. Her dedication, drive and
sexiness plays havoc on his senses and his body, but the more she
pushes him to
train, the better shape he is in. Day after day spent with “Big K” has
Owen
falling for her hard and he sees a future with her. Only trouble is,
“Big K”
won’t let him get too close to her heart and lets him know there is no
future
for them. Can Owen convince her that there could be? How will he react
when he
learns who she really is?
T.A.
Ridgell pens a fantastic and exciting story with Operation:
Stiletto. “Python” and “Big K” are electric, the
heat is felt the moment they meet. Kendal plays her role as a tough
trainer
beautifully and Python is never the wiser. As a wrestling fan a bit, I
think
this author did a wonderful job of locations, action in the ring and
outside
it, and the behind the scenes “pretend” that wrestling really is. Heck
I was
convinced from the authors vivid descriptions in the story, that I was
sitting
at ringside watching it all play out. Equally telling about Ms.
Ridgell’s
talent is how she brings the two worlds, wrestling and the FBI together
to
bring readers a perfectly flowing tale, with precise depictions.
Kendal
grabs a reader’s attention immediately, as does Owen.
These characters, as well as the secondary
cast, are of quality, enriched backgrounds and descriptions and each is
sassy
and humorous, making the story even more enjoyable.
Operation:
Stiletto is a story that rocks and holds a readers attention
throughout
it all. I hope that some of the
secondary cast gets their own stories someday.
Operation: Stiletto receives the Road to
Romance
Reviewer’s Choice Award for its energy, vivid descriptions, powerful
characters
and an exciting tale penned by Ms. Ridgell. I never had the chance
before to
read When Opportunity Knocks,
the prequel to Operation: Stiletto,
something that will be remedied soon since Python also had a role in
that story
and he is just too wonderful to say good-bye to just yet.
Operation:
Stiletto already has a spot on my keeper shelf. I recommend
readers
make a spot on theirs for it soon. It’s not to be missed!
