The police
are always on the side of their citizen’s right? This may not be so, as
Terri
Valker learns when she heads home to Deer Point, North Carolina
for her mothers funeral. When Terri learns that her mother, Maggie, was
murdered, she naturally turns to the police to see what they have on
the
killer. But the police don’t seem all that interested or sympathetic to
the
case. With nowhere to turn for answers, Terri leans on her mother’s
neighbour,
Jacob Hymes, a handyman to try and find out what he knows. Living
beside her
mother, Terri thinks Jacob might have seen or knows something. The
closer she
gets to discovering everything going on in Deer Point, the closer Terri
gets to
Jacob. But will she learn the truth before something happens to her?
Has she
laid her trust in the right man? Is Jacob the right man to help her?
Jacob Hymes
believes that Terri Valker knows all about her mothers illegal
activities. In
fact, he thinks Terri is also involved. But as Jacob came to know
Maggie, he
questioned his belief that she was involved in anything illegal, which
he soon
comes to think of Terri as well. As he works with Terri to uncover the
truth in
Deer Point, he falls in love with her. But can they have a future
together when
he’s kept so many secrets from her?
Jennifer
Cloud’s Murder Southern Style

The

the story.
I even came to care about Terri’s mom, Maggie, who much of the story
revolved
around. Murder Southern Style
