Since he was a young boy, Adam Canterbury has been in love with Rosalind Vancouver. His neighbor and his adopted father’s business partner’s daughter. Adam, Rosalind, and her cousin, Reginald had grown up together, and their comradery and rivalries followed them to adulthood. On the eve of Rosalind’s society debut, she leads Adam to their secret hiding place they had used as children to hide from Reggie, to consummate their unspoken love. For Adam, the night was one of dreams, mystery, and confusion. For Rosalind, it was the beginning of her reign.
That one night followed Adam for the next few years and no matter how much he tried, he could not purge Rosalind from his system. If anything, the time and distance away from her only increased his desire. Adam and Rosalind are reunited when he comes home to take over his father’s shipping business. The desire between them is palpable, yet Rosalind won’t give herself to Adam until he agrees to give himself completely over to her. Adam doesn’t quite understand what she’s asking but knows that there will never be another woman who can satisfy his needs like Rosalind.
Will Adam give himself completely over to Rosalind? And if he does, what exactly does that mean for his life as he knows it?
FOREVER MY LOVE is an enticing story filled with passionate angst and fulfilled desires. Adam is a strong, sexual hero that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. The reader is pretty much kept in the dark as to the character of Rosalind, we only see her though Adam’s eyes for much of the story. While there were glimpses of what Rosalind and her “family” were, I found it frustrating that not until the end of the book was it made clear that this was a vampire book. It was distracting for this reader not knowing what was really going on with Rosalind until Adam finds out at the end of the book. Despite my confusion, FOREVER MY LOVE is an intriguing story and I look forward to reading future books in this series.
