Sable is in
a very precarious position. Solarian
Wolf Warriors die in battle; they do not become slaves to the enemy. Eirik the Fierce, knocked the beautiful vixen
out when it became obvious she was going to die in the battle. He could not let such a skilled (not to
mention gorgeous) female warrior perish if he could help it. Taming this virago may just be the most
taxing battle of his life. But the
spoils of this venture will exceed any that have come before.
Sable
cannot countenance her desire for this Viking.
He has vowed to protect her. But
protection comes with bonds that she cannot willingly accept. Sable finds herself in a strange land
adjusting to strange customs. When a
secret is revealed can Eirik explain to Sable’s satisfaction? Keeping her in his life forever?
A Viking’s Vow is a wicked tale of
submission and
love. The Claiming Ceremony is the best
scene in the whole book. Sable and Eirik
have a bloody battle of dominance. I’m
not going to say who won, but I’ll hint that neither were losers in
this love
battle. Of course, the battle that
ensues over the ‘secret’ is really good too.
As the third book in the Solarian Series, A Vikings Vow was a bit of a disappointment. Ms. Monet penchant for strong, competent
female characters carries through this book also. With
the exception of Sable, there was little
mention of Solarians and the Realm in this story. However,
taken in the flavor in which it was
delivered, this book is a very good stand-alone story, with a nod at
Ms.
Monet’s Solarian Realm.
