The dragon
scours the moonlit countryside, searching for a maiden to bring to his
master. He finds her, and returns to the
Black Keep with his master’s prizes.
Lilya
awakes in a strange bed, chained to the wall.
Before panic can set in, she realizes true fear when
the powerful-cloaked
figure emerges from the shadows. The
people in the village fear this demon.
The one who is said to sacrifice maids, trying to
escape the curse that
has him drinking their life’s blood. She
refuses to give up hope; she will find a way to escape the fiend before
he can
fulfill his diabolical plans.
Dain has
not met a woman of this fiery temperament in the many centuries that
he’s been
cursed by the gods to live. She brings
forth feelings that he long ago adjusted to not having.
Is this another way for the gods to torment
him? Giving him a woman with the powers
to destroy him?
TIME OF THE
DRAGON is a dark, medieval tale of dragons, sorcerers, curses and love. Dain is a tormented soul, cursed to live a
half existence. Until Lilya comes into
his life. Lilya is more powerful than
she could have ever imagined. You will
love Uland, I’m not going to spoil the surprise, but Uland is a very
unusual…character. Ms. Taylor’s dark
romance was a pure pleasure to read.
This short story will have you scrambling to find
more work from the
diabolical pen of D. L. Taylor.
