CAJUN BLUE by Dominique Adair is the story of Remy “Blue” and Elle “Miss Scarlet”. Elle has gotten a new job as vice president of a cosmetics company in New Orleans. She will be leaving Ohio in a few days when she gets an invitation from Master Ty to a private B&D party. She decides to go, and meets Blue in her disguise as Miss Scarlet, a submissive. The descriptions that follow are scorching, and explicit. To say more would give away the story, but the ending is satisfying, and Remy and Elle are a fun couple to get to know.
LOVE AND KINKS by Madeleine Oh is the second in the anthology. Alan has invited Jane to the country for a wild weekend together. They’ve been dating, and Alan is obviously a dom. Jane knows that if she goes to the country, she’ll be taking a big step forward in their relationship. She decides to go, and from there the action is hot. This story explores the feelings and thoughts of the couple as they decide whether to make it a long term relationship.
SOUTH BEACH SUBMISSIVE by Jennifer Dunne wraps up the anthology with a sizzling tale of a party reviewer, Sassy, who learns that she’s a submissive at heart. Sassy is assigned to attend a private party at an exclusive dating service. She learns that the service is for people who are either dominant, submissive or switches. At the party she meets Michael who introduces her to the pleasures of pain and submission. Sassy’s internal conflict is well drawn, and makes her reactions understandable. Michael is well known, and if she writes about him, it could damage his life, but the paper will only pay for her membership if she writes a column. Plus Michael emphasizes the importance of honesty and trust, and she hasn’t told him her real job. The way they work things out makes for interesting and exciting reading.
It should be noted that all three of the stories deal with BDSM, and some of the scenes are quite intense. For the reader who likes this kind of story, be sure to have a cold drink nearby because this anthology will leave you heated up.
