What’s a
girl to do when her husband of fifteen years starts the search for his
high
school sweetheart? Help him? Roberta Jones Spivey did. What’s a girl to
do when
her husband leaves her for that high school sweetheart? Does she drown
her
sorrows and become a complete mess, or does she pick herself up, dust
herself
off and become a whole new woman? Roberta Jones Spivey does, uses the
name
Bobbie and sheds her old good-girl clothes and tries sexy on for size.
Roberta
Jones Spivey, aka Bobbie Jones, isn’t going to let her husband
Warren get away
with leaving her for his high
school sweetheart, Cookie. Fifteen years she has invested in their
marriage and
she’s not impressed with her own actions of helping him locate her, nor
their
getting a divorce. Bobbie follows Warren
to Cottonmouth where he is setting up his new business and going to
live a life
with Cookie. Bobbie sees Warren for what
he truly
is and tends to move on…in a roundabout way.
With a new outlook, attitude and freedom she’s never
felt before, Bobbie
finds that she likes Cottonmouth and her new job as waitress in the
local
diner. Going from the boring accountant that she was, to a waitress is
a big
change for Bobbie, but nothing prepares her for her neighbour…
Enter, Nick
Angel, aka Cottonmouth’s Serial Killer!!
Now just the serial killer label would make any
woman run in the other
direction right? Not Bobbie Jones. Bobbie finds herself drawn to Nick,
despite
everything the grapevine gossips of Cottonmouth have to say about him.
In fact,
he sets her body on fire with his touches, his kisses and his
smoldering
looks. Is Bobbie Jones really ready for
a man like Nick Angel in her world? Is Roberta Jones Spivey, the quiet
mouse
she once was, ready for a man like Nick?
And what is it with this serial killer label for
Nick? You have to pick up a copy of this
book to
find out these answers!! Don’t let the title, Sex and
the Serial Killer fool you….it’s a romp you’ll want
to enjoy. Grab some hot cocoa, jimmies and a blanket and settle in for
the ride
of your life with Bobbie Jones and her Serial Killer…!
There’s a
new author on the rise and if you like Janet Evanovich and even
Jennifer
Crusie, then you’ll enjoy Jennifer Skully!
Sex and the Serial Killer
is an absolute delight. With sexual
tension, a tortured hero, a sassy heroine and a bit of intrigue into
Cookie and
Warren’s
life
in Cottonmouth, this story has it all.
It was with hurried finger, flipping the pages of
this story, just to
see what Bobbie would do next. Her attraction to Nick was fun, sexy and
scenes
with just the two of them set the pages on fire. Of course, since there
is
never a dull moment in Bobbie’s life, we also have a sexy Sheriff,
Brax, who
has set his sights on Bobbie. It seems Brax and Nick have been friends,
but
there is a story there – can’t tell you what it is, however, Nick burns
with
jealousy whenever Bobbie is with his old pal.
The
characters, the small-town setting – boy was it depicted with accuracy,
sexual
tension and an overall story that hooks a reader immediately, can’t be
missed.
Absolutely adorable with Bobbie Jones and Nick, well, he was a beauty
of a
man. Never a dull moment and a one
sitting read is Sex and the Serial
Killer by Jennifer Skully. An interesting title on the cover
and an
outstanding story inside, you don’t want to miss it! Highly recommended.
