THE LOST WOLF WARRIOR by Rae Monet

The year is 1218 AD.  This is the day that most of the mighty Wolf Warriors were slain by the bloodthirsty minions of King Edward.  This is the day that many were slaughtered, amongst the dead and dying a child was lost.  The child, firstborn son of mighty warrior Jarod, will never be forgotten.

Fast forward thirty years to Scotland

Serena and her brother Richard have left the safety of the realm to search for Ziem, an outlaw who has fled the Realm and must be retrieved.  Serena is distracted by a call for help from a fellow Warrior.  Though he carries the mark of a Solarian Wolf Warrior, Roan does not know of the life that Serena speaks of.  He was discovered, bruised and bloodied in a forest by an English Duke, and raised as his son.  Roan, known throughout England as Wolf, a fierce knight, does not know how the petite, beautiful warrior who’s skill with a sword rivals his own, is able to speak to him in his mind.  Nor does he understand how she can seem to see the fantasy he has of the two of them.

Serena doesn’t want to believe that the child of the greatest Solarian warrior was raised English.  Solarians are mortal enemies of the English.  Can they work through their extreme differences and work together to save their people and perhaps fall in love?

The Lost Wolf Warrior is an excellent alternate historical novel by Ms. Monet.  Filled with plenty of action and scorching sex, this book is one to be kept and read over and over.  Serena is a wonderfully dominant, kick-ass lead female.  Her fighting skills are extraordinary, and a beauty to see in action.  Roan is hot!  His confidence and arrogant good looks make for a memorable alpha male that you want to claim for your own.  It has been a long time since I’ve seen such a strong female influences.  These are the type of stories that I revel in, and they are few and far between.  I am grateful that Ms. Monet felt the need to pen such wonderful characters.  I cannot wait to revisit the Realm in her next Solarian masterpiece.
