Thirty-something
year old, Sara Walker has always been unlucky when it comes to men. Her
previous relationships didn’t last, they thought her too reckless, or
they were
sexually incompatible, etc. As a tough as nails engineer, Sara gets the
job
done and with no distractions. But when she has to work hip-to-hip,
toe-to-toe,
and all other close proximities with Zeke Rutherford, Sara’s life is
shaken as
some of the concrete she tests for her job. Zeke is “too much”
everything for
Sara, except he’s not old enough. Ten years her junior, Sara tries to
keep her
attraction to the young man in check. But from the first touch of Zeke’s Hands, Sara’s resistance
begins to crumble.
Zeke
Rutherford has one goal…to make Sara Walker his. But getting through
the wall
she’s built around herself proves to be the biggest challenge of Zeke’s
life.
Sara is everything Zeke could want in a woman. She’s tough, kind,
sassy, sexy
and smart. However, her reckless disregard for her own safety in
dangerous
situations scares the hell out of him. Especially when she volunteers
to go to
the war zone in Iraq
on business. Zeke gets roped into going with her, and in part he’s glad
so he
can keep her safe. How much can Zeke stand though when his own life is
continually put in danger when he’s with Sara?
In Zeke’s Hands, is
Sara safe…especially from herself?
Madison
Hayes pens a sexy and extremely hot story in Zeke’s
Hands. The title alone gives a reader some naughty
thoughts and inside the pages, its chills and sweats galore as Zeke
tries to
get through to Sara. She fights him, and herself, every step of the
way, but
Zeke is deliciously relentless in his pursuit.
The innuendo’s between the characters when they are
on a job, make for
intoxicating foreplay and while a reader is thinking, “just do it
already!”,
the sexual tension is fantastic and tantalizing. Zeke is an absolute
doll and
could lay his hands on this reader any day!
Sara’s wit and sass were a perfect balance to Zeke’s
personality and
charm. These characters are wonderful, passionate, driven and exciting.
The only
problem I had with Zeke’s Hands
at times was the POV switches that happened frequently within the first
few
chapters. They would occur with no indication and abruptly, which was
disconcerting and would cause me to pause and adjust the train of
thoughts
while reading.
However,
overall, Zeke’s Hands by
Madison Hayes is highly recommended. The author has penned a story with
characters that are vividly alive within the pages. Zeke and Sara are
memorable
and very passionate about life and each other. The world of engineers
was
interesting and fascinating. Ms. Hayes penned a realistic and
knowledgeable
look into the world of this profession that was serious but balanced
very well with
the characters, the passion and enhanced the story as a whole.
I hope
Madison Hayes pens another contemporary romance soon. She’s found a
spot on my
auto-buy list!
