Some women say they want an animal in bed…but what would you do if that literally happened to you? That’s Candy Anderson’s problem. She’s had a thing for Duane, her brother’s best friend, for years. One night they give in to their attraction for each other. They’re both having a great time – at least until Duane loses control and transforms into a werewolf while they are making love. This leaves Candy traumatized and she’s determined to fight her feelings for Duane.
Candy’s managed to keep herself away from Duane, but her brother’s wedding is forcing them together. Duane can’t wait to get close to Candy again. He knows she is his mate, and he’s going to do everything in his power to make her believe they are meant for each other.
I read this story without having read the first book in the series, and had no trouble following along. It was a fairly dramatic book, but was still easy to read. Duane is a true alpha male (and werewolf), and undeniably puts the “wild” in Wild by Night. At times, I was concerned that Duane’s actions may border on rape, but Copeland keeps a tight rein and is careful not to cross that line. This book was good enough that I would definitely be willing to try another of this author’s books.
WARNING: Story contains mild domination, anal sex, voyeurism, references to sexual and non-sexual violence that occur outside of the book, and what some may classify as bestiality due to shape shifting.
