Nikki Hawthorne awakes from an accident with total amnesia. She has no memory of what happened, her past, or her identity.
Her husband, Jake, knows that Nikki had been having an affair and suspects that the passenger who was killed in the crash was her lover.
Nikki is changed in more ways than losing her memory. She is sweet and loving instead of bold and brash. She feels guilty that she was unfaithful, even though she can't remember who the man was. Jake realizes he still loves her, and she falls in love with Jake all over again. They struggle to rebuild their marriage, but someone wants Jake dead.
Every time I thought I knew who the stalker was, I was mistaken. The ending caught me totally by surprise, not only the identity of the stalker, but other results, too. Michelle Perry's plots are exciting, with intriguing twists that will keep readers turning pages. Her characters are well-rounded and true-to-life. I highly recommend UNFORSEEN DANGER, and anything else written by Michelle Perry. Look for Cain & Abel, to be published by Medallion in April 2005.
