In Shelly
Laurenston's captivating fantasy, TO CHALLENGE A DRAGON,
a dragon meets a warrior woman and sparks fly.
Feared by
everyone warrior woman, Annwyl of Garbahan Isle is known
by her hard-earned nickname, Annwyl The Bloody. Abused and tormented
all her
life Annwyl fights for her respect and her very life. Trapped in a
secluded
glen by her brother – whom she has vowed to kill – and his men, she
decides to fight
with her very last breath. With a mortal
wound Annwyl knows she is about to die.
Waiting for the deathblow that never comes from the
suddenly retreating
men, she turns to face a big black dragon before passing out. Awakening
to find
herself in the most unlikely rescuers lair, Annwyl is about to be taken
on the
adventure that will change her forever.
A myth and
legend, Fearghus the Destroyer - a dragon- for over
seventy years has cultivated his peaceful solitude by driving away any
human
that comes into his forest, Dark Glen. By choice, he has distanced
himself as
an outcast to his fellow dragons. A fierce battle raging outside his
home draws
him but the fierce warrior woman who fights against insurmountable odds
fascinates him. Her defiance in face of him only draws him in even
more. Unable
to leave her to perish, Fearghus takes her in and cares for her. Daily
as she
regains her strength, he learns more about her and is drawn deeper and
deeper
to her. Will Annwyl be able to accept
Fearghus once she knows his secret? Will
Annwyl be able to fulfill her goal and defeat her brother?
Power,
magic, danger, intrigue and hot mind-blowing sex can be found
in Shelly Laurenston's, To Challenge a
Dragon. This is a riveting story that keeps you enthralled
until those
very last words. Annwyl is a strong character who has suffered many
abuses but
still comes out with her strength and pride intact.
The softness she shows with Fearghus endeared
me to her even more. Fearghus is an irresistible hero who as a loner
must learn
to open himself to others. The interaction between Feargus and his
siblings
enrich the story.
Each novel
I have read by Ms. Laurenston leaves me impressed but
with To
Challenge a Dragon, I am in awe and recommend this as a must
read.
