Debbie Sue
Overstreet is tired of life in Salt Lick, Texas. She is ready for a change of
scenery
and a change of pace. She has every intention of selling the shop that
she
turned into a beauty salon and getting out of there. Her chance to flee
comes
in the form of reward money for solving one of her best client’s
deaths.
Pearl frequented Debbie’s shop
all the
time. They had been friends or as close to friends as they could be,

entire lives. So, one can imagine the shock that Debbie felt when she
learned
that poor Pearl
had been murdered! But when Pearl’s
husband offers a reward for whoever catches her killer, Debbie is
struck with
an ingenious idea. She will solve the murder and hightail it out of
town.

investigation isn’t off to the best start though. It keeps bringing her

close and closer quarters with her ex-husband Buddy, who just happens
to be the
sexy sheriff of Salt Lick. Having to be near him all the time reminds
her why
they split up to begin with, and that she still has unresolved feelings
for
him. Debbie Sue has a ton of questions that need answering, and no
answers
anywhere in sight. First, who is the elusive Eugene? What does he have to do with
Pearl’s death?
Why is
Buddy trying to get her back? And the best question of all, does she
want him
to get her back?
