Midnight Angel ~ Carly
Phillips
Actor
and
heartthrob, Dylan North returns to his childhood home in Acton to find
the woman he left behind a
decade ago. Dylan gave up his true love so that she could follow her
family’s
traditions and become a doctor. Dylan felt she wouldn’t be happy with
him while
he set Hollywood
on its ear. But for a decade, Dylan has thought of her and wants a
second
chance. Will Dr. Holly Evans prescribe exactly what Dylan needs? Can
she trust
him again with her heart?
Midnight Angel lives up to the
standards and class
that Carly Phillips fans have come to know and love. Dylan and Holly
are an
entertaining duo who try to find their way back to one another after
broken
hearts and years apart. A romantic tale
that keeps love alive even after the clock strikes twelve.
Meet Me at Midnight ~
Janelle
Denison
When
Shane
Witmer learns that his long-time pal, Alyssa Harte has made the
resolution to
settle down and find that one guy for her, he knows its time to make
his true
feelings for her known. Shane and Alyssa have been best friends since
they were
five years old. But does Alyssa feel the same for Shane as he does her?
Will
their friendship lead to love?
Janelle
Denison pens one of my favourite storylines in Meet Me
at Midnight – friendship that leads to love. I love
a good romance that blossoms and surprises the characters to know that
the
feelings are mutual. This author showed the passion and friendship
between the
characters wonderfully. This is a great holiday tale to add to the
Janelle
Denison library.
Mine at Midnight ~
Jacquie
D’Allesandro
Accountant,
Tom Farrell and his client, Merrie Langston are about to venture into a
different
level in their business relationship that they never have before. For
over two
years Tom has denied the feelings he has for Merrie, and this Christmas
he
wants to show her how he truly feels. But Merrie and Tom are extreme
opposites.
She has trouble staying on the straight and narrow, he has trouble
venturing
off it. She loves Chrsistmas and he hates it. Can these two opposites
come
together to have a future together? Does
Merrie feel the same about Tom as he does for her?
This is the
first offering by Jacquie D’Allesandro that I have read and I vow it
won’t be
my last! Mine at Midnight
is a heart-warming and emotional tale of
opposites attracting. The reader shares
in the emotion with Tom as he tries to deal with his past and his
reasons for
disliking Christmas. The energy and power of the Christmas season are
felt
beautifully within this story. Ms. D’Allesandro writes with sensitivity
and
grace. I look forward to reading more of her work.
The Stroke
of Midnight anthology
brings together three incredibly talented authors and stories of true
love and
passion. My favourite story was Mine
at Midnight, which ended the anthology on a perfect note. This
is a
book not to be missed and would make a great gift for that special
someone this
holiday season.
