SAY IT AGAIN, SAM by Mary McBride

Beth Simon has journeyed back to her childhood home in Shelby, Michigan to get away from a violent business associate and to convert the family home into a bed and breakfast.  Beth didn’t expect to return home and still feel a blazing hot connection with Sam Mendenhall, the guy she dumped sixteen years ago. As Beth and Sam reconnect and learn about one another and their lives since they last saw each other, Beth’s business associate, Danny makes it known just how unhappy he is with her…

Small town Constable, ex-Delta Force soldier, Sam Mendenhall has enough on his plate without having unresolved feelings for his old sweetheart, Beth Simon.  With thefts happening in the small town, Sam has all he can handle trying to catch his prey.  But his feelings for Beth seem stronger than ever and they begin to trust one another again and he believes they might have a future together. But when danger finds Beth and is stalking her, Sam resorts to his soldier training to protect the woman he’s never stopped loving.

Totally packed with love, self-discovery and danger, Say It Again, Sam by Mary McBride is a wonderful tale for readers to enjoy. I was totally captivated by the characters and each of them is hard to forget. Beth and Sam find the love they both lost years ago, and reconcile their feelings once and for all. But it’s not an easy journey as Sam still has a thief to catch and Beth is in danger.  Sam, I found to be a caring and sensitive, yet strong hero. He is a wonderful hero throughout this story.

Say It Again, Sam is a one sitting read that holds a readers attention from the first few pages. Highly recommended for lovers of contemporary romance and unrequited love.
