A bitter Southern belle, jilted and robbed, and a Yankee soldier who just wants to go home and forget the horrors of war, are thrown together when he saves her from robbers.
Wynne is on a mission to hunt down her fiancé and kill him. Driven to the breaking point, her humiliation and fury won’t be appeased by anything less than the cad’s death.
Cole finds out Wynne is more than stubborn, reckless, clumsy and rash. She’s also gunning for his brother.
Wynne is inept with a gun, she’s been robbed and left penniless and she’s the most impulsive female Cole has ever seen. She’s had so many bad breaks he’s afraid she’ll succeed in killing his brother just because she so long overdue for good luck.
Wynne and Cole loathe each other on site. Can love be far behind?
Lori Copeland has outdone herself with The Peacemaker. The book is pure fun. Cole and Wynne have the perfect love/hate relationship. They bicker and the sparks fly. I enjoyed every step of their rugged journey along the road to true love.
