Sasha
Sterling, a.k.a. “Nightshade”, hung up her “hat” as an
undercover/special ops
agent when she had her son, Dylan.
Though she was away from her old life, Sasha missed
it daily, but
couldn’t risk any danger around her son. Living a quiet, stay-at-home
life in Leeds, it soon becomes one of
excitement when Sasha is
called out of retirement. The American
Renegade Company, her former employer, needs her help. Her estranged
husband,
Kane, has gone rogue and has top-secret information that must not be
shared.
The company needs her to bring Kane in.
Sasha
married Kane because she loved him. She still does, but the past had
made her
zombie-like when it came to her feelings.
Her job took its toll on her and she shut herself
off from Kane and his
love, which resulted in their separation.
Sasha, who once went rogue herself, knows that it’s
a dangerous
situation to be in and will do whatever it takes to bring him back. Sasha leaves Dylan, under the protection of
her father – also an agent, and joins her team once again, to bring get
the man
she loves.
What does
the future hold for the Sterlings? Can Sasha bring her rogue husband
back from
the darkness before it’s too late?
Night Life by Katherine Garbera is
action-packed and the adrenaline is always pumping. Tumultuous emotions
and
secrets are felt throughout the story, which keep a reader gripped to
it and
eager to find out what happens next. Sasha
and Kane are wonderful characters who have difficulty expressing their
emotions. But even though they don’t
always
express their feelings, the reader can feel them from the bond they
have, their
connection physically and as partners in the field.
They are a dynamite couple who work well off
one another.
I
thoroughly enjoyed Night Life.
Not only was there action, adventure, strong emotions and suspense, but
the
entire cast was amazing. From Sasha and Kane, to Sasha’s dad and to the
team
that worked together to get their man.
Each character added a touch of humour and
excitement to this story. I
would like to see Sasha’s (Dylan’s) bodyguard, Orly LaFontaine have his
own
story. He was an interested in a charming character.
I think he has the makings of a heart-stopping
hero. I hope Ms. Garbera considers it someday!
Night Life is not to be missed. It
is an outstanding
blend of suspense, drama and memorable characters that readers can enjoy.
