When Tessa Hanson woke in the early hours of the morning to find a naked man in her closet she did the only thing a sex-starved woman would do, think it’s a dream and get down to business. Only he’s not a dream, he’s supposed to be the monster in her closet, but he’s not very scary. In fact, he’s the most well endowed monster Tessa has ever seen.
Mangus is tired of sprinkling fairy dust and painting rainbows. His goal is to be an Incubus, a demonic sexual predator who steals into woman’s dreams and drives them senseless with sex. It’s a hard position to acquire, especially competing against the daemons, so he took the Monster job in the interim. So far he’s botched it, forgot his uniform and didn’t scare Tessa at all. If only he could seduce Tessa and give her a life changing experience, he’d be a shoe in for Incubus.
Tessa’s always been in control of everything in her life, from her jobs to the men she’s dated. She’s always kept a part of herself reserved just for her, but Mangus wants more than just sex from Tessa. Will she give it?
Hat’s off to Megan Hart for packing into twenty-eight short pages the most hysterical and sizzling book I’ve ever read. From the first page, MONSTER IN THE CLOSET reeled me in, hook, line, and sinker. While heat and humor are intertwined in the story, Megan Hart still leaves the reader with an underlying message through Tessa. She is a very real character with many of the traits of today’s women, stubbornly refusing to give up any control of their lives and being miserable, when they could give of themselves and live a much healthier and happier life. Mangus, well, he can be a monster in my closet anytime. Just this once, don’t be scared of the MONSTER IN THE CLOSET.
