Tom Farrell
boldly goes where no man cares to go…average. He has no desire to get
married,
have children or succeed career-wise. He just wants to be average. He
spends
his days watching cartoons, working at the tabloid, and avoiding phone
calls
from his mother. He is always “between girlfriends” and never has a
desire to
be any different. Just average is fine with him. That is, until he
meets Julia.
Julia hooks
Tom with little effort. In fact, she hooks him by being effortless and
seemingly interested on a minimal level. He lusts after her constantly,
insisting that she is a once in a lifetime thing that he can’t pass up.
Yet,
the more interest that he shows, the less interested she appears to be.
Therefore, the more elusive she is, the more persistent he is. After
seeking
advice from his loser friend, Shooter, whose name says it all, he finds
himself
more screwed up than he was to begin with. Can Tom win at love, or is
he doomed
to be average and alone forever?
LOVE MONKEY
is perhaps the most interesting romance that I have ever read. The
reason for
this is that it is told from a male perspective. Kyle Smith gives women
the one
thing that they can’t usually get - a glimpse inside the male mind. He
delivers
an amusing, albeit real view of life and love through a male’s eyes. If
you
have ever wanted to know what men are thinking, what they are feeling
and
experiencing, this is your chance. It doesn’t get more real than LOVE
MONKEY.
Get ready for a large dose of honesty and perspective. Call it a Lesson
on Men
101.
