What would
you do if
given the opportunity to go back in time and figure out where you went
wrong in
your marriage? For Katy Jennings in Dakota Cassidy’s The
Ex-Files 3: Kinky Katy she gets the chance to go back
and possibly find out where her marriage went wrong. Which will Kay
choose; get
back with her ex or go back to her life as a divorcee.
Katy
Jennings, usually
the fixer of all other people problems hides away from her own in the
process
shutting down her feelings. Even during the ending of her marriage, she
tried
to make it painless for everyone. Now the news of her ex-husband,
Garrett - the
only man she has loved - remarrying sends the usually cool Katy into
emotional
upheaval. Attending the "moving in together party” for one of her
fellow
“Divorcee’s Anonymous” friends, Katy's thoughts are consumed with her
failed
marriage. Feelings of anger and depression drive Katy away from the
party and
into the bathroom. Moping for all she has lost, Katy is taken by
surprise by a
wisecracking, blunt, pink haired fairy godmother Tallulah who informs
her that
Katy is returning to the year 1983, the first year of her marriage to
Garrett
Jennings. Katy has five days to figure out what she wants live alone as
a
divorcee or fight for Garrett.
What will
Katy learn
from the past? Will the mistakes from her past affect the future? Can
Katy get
Garret back in the present?
Ms. Cassidy
once again
takes my breath away with her novel, The
Ex-Files: Kinky Katy. The realistic, yet hilarious, look at
the regrets
of an unwanted divorce, those common questions of what might have been
if I did
this all over, is touched with Ms. Cassidy's trademark style of
hilarity mixed
with spicy passion. The Ex-Files 3: Kinky
Katy is a novel of growth, love and finally acceptance.
I recommend
this as a
read for anyone who is looking for a good laugh, hot sex and a story
the
epitome of finding yourself. I look forward to the next in the series -
Victoria’s
story.
