Ivy Green's
sister, Heather, has gotten herself into a fine mess this time. Ivy has
been
helping Heather out of trouble for too long now. Ivy is an
investigator,
specializing in retrieving kids who have gotten too deep into the Goth
scene.
She's had enough practice with Heather. It seems that Heather has
joined a
group of Sanguines, blood drinkers who fashion themselves as vampires.
So here
Ivy is, lost in the middle of nowhere Michigan,
searching for the lake that a boat called the Bloody Hell is docked.
She runs a
stop sign and is almost run down by the most dangerous, sexy man she's
ever had
the pleasure of feasting her eyes upon. A man who is the epitome of her
fantasies.
Holt Raven
can't believe that the woman sitting at the stop sign waited to pull
out in
front of him. Even though it was her fault, she gets up in his face to
blame
him. Not many people stand up to him. She's refreshing, and maddening,
and
gorgeous. It's all he can do to control himself from taking her right
then and
there.
When she
says that she's searching for her sister on the Bloody Hell, he knows
that she
doesn't know what she's getting into. Holt and his team of Colin and
Rogue are
looking for the two female vampires who abide on the boat also. Holt is
a
vampire hunter, a member of the Unkindness. This Clutch of vampires is
next on
his list to be extinguished. This is his destiny, and he's very good at
his
job. He can't afford to have Ivy there, distracting him. But Ivy is
determined
to get the information that she needs to find her sister, by any means
necessary.
Holt gives
new meaning to the term 'strong, silent type'. He is a man of few
words, but
big on action. Ivy is a spitfire, with a quick temper and loose tongue
when
irked. Sparks
fly immediately between these two characters. Ms. Neeley's fifth
addition to
the Raven series is hot, hot, hot. I've been waiting for the dark,
mysterious
Holt's story, and believe me it was worth the wait. Wild lovemaking, a
sexy
cast, vampires, danger and love...what more can you ask for?
