Lilly Marquette wouldn’t be caught dead in an adult-only toy shop – until she is. But her guardian angels have given her another chance with the living as long as the materialistic rich girl can change her ways.
With the reluctant help of sexy cab driver Jake Murdoch, Lilly throws herself full-time into giving money away. But the do-good wanna-be finds out in a hurry that not every one is pleased with her helping others.
Instead of being furious at her – and he should be considering that he believes that she is responsible for scamming him out of $3 million – Jake can’t take his eyes, or hands, off Lilly. Will this unlikely duo manage to keep Lilly from the forever after? And if she goes, will it be because she failed her task, or because her guardian angels aren’t the only ones waiting for her to pass on?
Jake is the sexiest cab driver you’ll ever meet. This honorable, hard working, child and cat loving man is guaranteed to steal your heart. The fact that Lilly has stolen his is, at first a bit of a stretch to be honest, because at first sight, these 2 people are just too different.
But Lilly redeems herself. She is amusing, if a bit stereo-typical of a spoiled rich girl in the beginning. Until you get to know her she comes across as shallow and self-centered. But once we learn more about her history and situation, she begins to stand out as a unique woman worthy of her perfect man. The question is, will she live long enough to convince Jake to take the job?
