Mitchell Hunter is the man (well cyborg, really) who has everything…so why is he so dissatisfied with life? Then one night, a sexy blue-haired mutant thief named Jamie Day sneaks into his heavily protected home and somehow gets into his safe. Things are looking up for Mitchell, because he’s not going to let her go until his pretty thief gives him what he wants.
This novella was a quick and easy read. It is humorous at times and the interaction between the two characters is fun to read. However, I can see that some of Jamie’s flippant dialogue could get tiring after a while, so it is a good thing this story is so short.
I found both Mitchell and Jamie’s characters to be an appealing twist on the traditional thief-romance story. While I did enjoy the story as a whole, I found Jamie’s reasoning as to why she had to finish her job a bit unbelievable. Despite this, I would recommend this story to anyone who’s looking for something quick and amusing.
