After being
robbed of her business and life savings by her ex-fiancé, Lacey
Garrett is
driven to finish her new software project and start making money again.
On New
Year’s Eve, Lacey is working at her home in
Virginia. As she sits at her
computer making
her resolutions, she receives a note from an online programmer, Zianmen
who is
requesting her help. Lacey doesn’t really want to deal with anything
except her
own work, but she is curious about what he is up to.
When she reads Zianman’s message, she feels
compelled to venture outside to the stars in the sky.
The next
thing Lacey knows, she’s aboard a spacecraft with a gorgeous alien who
looks
like a comic book hero. Captain Zian Masters wants Lacey’s help to get
him out
o f the firing range of other ships that shot him down. He needs
Lacey’s help
to decipher the strange designs he saw on a forbidding planet, and if
she ever
wants to return to Earth, she must help him.
In the midst
of a strange planet, a cat protecting her mistress, data sheets and
controllers,
heated kisses and sensual tension, Lacey and Zain work together to stay
alive
and return home. But can they walk away from one another, if they do
make it
back?
Fun, love
and wild rides through pace take readers on a powerful trip in C.J.
Barry’s Unleashed. Zain and Lacey are
wonderful characters who are out of their depth, yet work together to
accomplish their one goal. Love enters the fray and their futures are
unknown. Ms.
Barry keeps her readers riveted in their seats, flipping pages and even
laughing out loud as this story rolls on.
Futuristic/fantasy
tales have never been my first choice when it comes to reading
materials, but
since CJ Barry picked up a pen, I make the time to read her work. Hers
is a
fresh voice in fantasy romance. Unleashed
is a story alive with characters, action and love
scenes. I thoroughly
enjoyed this latest tale in her “Un-forgettable”
series and look forward to her next release. Unleashed
is a must read and C.J. Barry is not to be missed.
