OF ELVES & VAMPIRES: TRINITY’S MARK by Ella Scopilo

After her mother lost her long battle with cancer, Trinity found solace by moving to her country home in Wisconsin. It is miles away from the fast pace of New York and brings her back to her love of the wild, and memories of her Grandmother. Yet, her self-induced isolation is plagued by a sense of being watched.

For centuries, Raul has been looking for his lost love Alonsa. The night he was unwillingly transformed into a vampire he thought he’s lost her forever, but now he’s found her, same mind, same soul, just a different body. Alonsa is now Trinity. Will she remember him? Can their bodies and souls be joined in love as they once were?

Rigor, a creek elf enslaved by Senora Manuella, watches Trinity nightly as she pleasures herself in her rose garden. He’s been commanded by Senora to capture Trinity in order to lure in the one person that the Senora wants more than anything, Raul. Rigor wants Trinity for himself, and concocts a plan to overthrow the vampire witch and rule the creek elves himself.

Trinity has a power that she is not aware of, but it’s that power that puts her in danger. When she finally realizes who she is and how she’s connected to Raul, Rigor takes her into a world she can’t fathom, but knows, without question, she belongs too. The sooner Trinity accepts her power and uses it the better, because without her strength, the lives of those she holds most dear, Raul, her grandmother, and the creek elves, will be lost forever.

Ella Scopilo writes an intriguing story, combining elves and vampires, two of my favorite sub-genres. The sexual energy between Trinity and Raul practically leaps off the page. You might need some ice water near by. While the sex scenes are spot on, the continuity of the story is lacking. I found the many plot lines distracting and had to keep rereading areas to make sure I was reading the same story. I think Ms. Scopilo has a great imagination and the potential to be a wonderful author. I look forward to Ms. Scopilo’s next venture. Maybe a book about Raul’s best friend, Ricci?
