Temple of Lillith is one out of six individually published short stories that originally appeared in the anthology Phantasmagoria. These stories were the most talked about from the anthology. Each one has a twist on familiar situations.
A magician attempts to regain his musical ability by performing a ritual in a seemingly abandoned Egyptian temple. His simple ceremony becomes more than he bargained for when he attracts the attention of the goddess living within the temple.
I can’t say enough about the descriptive voice used in this story. The detail of each description took my breath away and the colours seemed very vivid. I easily imagined I was right there in the temple with the main character. As for the story, it has an interesting premise. The magical ritual was intriguing and the book is very erotic.
I was confused by one thing… near the beginning of the book the story makes reference to an orchestra, but at the end of the book the main character is playing in a band. This switch is never explained and may just be an oversight in editing. Overall, I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys paranormal erotica.
WARNING: The final love scene is fairly violent and not for the faint of heart.
