CEO and
owner of “Wild Women, Inc.”, Xandra Farrel is forever on her toes
trying to
live up to her mother’s expectations. Her mom, Jacqueline is a feminist
who
owns her own TV show that proclaims womanpower in a male dominate
world. Xandra
has the perfect boyfriend who is exactly the kind of man her mother
wants for
her to marry. However, Xandra soon realizes that her eight-year
relationship
with Mark isn’t what she wants and ends it with him. Though Xandra
might be
finished with men, her biological clock is ticking and she desperately
wants a
child. Being the independent woman she is Xandra feels that she doesn’t
need
love and marriage to have a child, and sets out to find the perfect
male to
father her child.
When Beau
“Bad Boy” Hollister knocks on the door of his latest client, he is
surprised to
see Xandra Farrel. Beau is the owner of “Hunks for Hire” and will be
renovating
her house. When he arrives and discovers who his client is, he finds
her
throwing condoms into the fire and cursing men. He has never forgotten
Xandra
and their one night together. It was unforgettable to say the least, as
their
one night was in the backseat of his dad’s car when they were in high
school,
and Beau was “finished” before she had time to even get started.
Could Bad
Boy Hollister be the right man for Xandra? Will Xandra go through with
her
baby-making plan?
Delightfully
fun, energetic and sexy is Kimberly Raye’s tale, Sometimes
Naughty, Sometimes Nice. The
minutes while reading this tale are full of
laughter, romance and heated passion. The characters were wonderfully
depicted
and realistic and Xandra was a gem. I
nearly fell off the bed while reading Xandra’s story. From her finding
a gray
hair where there shouldn’t be, to throwing condoms into the fire, to
the very
end of the book, I was riddled with laughter. Ms. Raye pens a tale with
stellar
characters and a secondary cast who are entertaining and eccentric.
This is the
sequel to Kiss Me Once, Kiss Me Twice,
a trilogy about the Farrel sisters and both these tales were equally
entertaining and lovable. I am eager to see what happens in Eve’s story
next. Ms. Raye has hit it right on with
consistent stories which entertain and enchant her readers time and
time again.
I hope she does the same with the next story in this series.
Watch for
book three, Sweet as Sugar, Hot as
Spice in Spring 2005.
