Sam doesn’t
want to leave the ranch that she has spent her life devoted to. Yet her
parents
have decided to sell it. Part of her is crushed, while the other part
doesn’t
quite know what to think. She longs in her secret heart for a husband
and a
family, but knows that scenario doesn’t factor into her plans. It is
nearly
impossible for a tomboy, who works with horses all day and is tougher
than most
men to fancy ideas of love, romance, and happy ever after. So she
devotes her
time, day after day to keeping the ranch running and working with her
beloved
horses. That is, until she meets Rory.
Rory is has
been rated the most eligible bachelor and is well known and loved
throughout
the area. So why is he wanting to buy Samantha’s parents’ ranch? He
makes an
offer that they can’t refuse, a whopping five million dollars, but
there is a
proviso. He wants Sam to stay on and take care of the running of the
ranch, as
his wife. She is shocked beyond belief and can’t believe his nerve. But
aside
from that, she is rather intrigued. He does things to her senses that
no man
ever has. Of course, it isn’t easy to find a man on SINGLE STATION… Is
it
possible that Rory might really be interested in her? Could a marriage
of
convenience turn out to be more than that?
I loved
SINGLE STATION. Sam is a classic tomboy and Rory is a smooth,
sophisticated
businessman. He decides that he wants her to be his, and won’t stop
until she
is. Nothing is sexier than male determination, especially when it is
focused on
having the woman that he wants. Furthermore, I always love a good
marriage of
convenience story. They never work out the way that they’re supposed
to, and it
always has a few twists, turns and giggles along the way.
