Daisy Adams, known as the “Dog Lady” of WZZZ, a
twenty-four
hour radio station, feels that there has to be better things in store
for her.
When the temporary position as a traffic reporter comes up, Daisy tries
for the
job. Not that Daisy really needs another job to add to her already full
schedule. Among her list of jobs are delivering papers, a waitress, a
cab
driver, a crossing guard and counseling in a grad school. But Daisy has school loans to pay for and
taking care of her teenage brother, Kevin. But being a traffic reporter
would
get her into something more exciting than dog recipes.
The moment
Daisy Adams strolled into his office to ask for the traffic reporter
job; Steve
Crow wished he could turn her down. He doesn’t want to be stuck in a
car with
her for hours on end, but there are no other applicants and he had no
choice
but give the “Dog Lady” the job. Steve isn’t so sure though that he’s
made the
right decision in hiring Daisy. He’s attracted to her but he doesn’t
feel she’s
ready to take him seriously.
Things get
pretty crazy for Steve and Daisy when she is a help to the police in
catching a
notorious drug-dealer. But the drug-dealer, known as “The Roach” is now
hell-bent on getting Daisy for her part in his capture, and he won’t
rest until
he does. Steve, fearful of what might
happen to Daisy hires a bodyguard to protect her. Only
her bodyguard is the elderly, Elise
Hawkins who isn’t afraid to use her .45 Magnum that she proudly carries
with
her.
With a
drug-dealer, traffic, a younger brother an elderly gun-toting
bodyguard, and a
big sloppy and goofy dog named Bob, Steve and Daisy have their wildest
adventure yet on their Rocky Road to
Romance.
