For years
Adrien Roth has been tracking Devon Carnavorn to exact revenge for the
years he
lost. Decades ago, Devon changed
Adrien into a
soulless existence as a vampire to get his own revenge when Adrien
killed his
lover, Ariel. After changing Adrien, Devon gave him to Lillith, to be her pet and he
endured
endless pain by the vampiress. Now an
Amhais, a shadow-stalker hunting the sexual predators, the Kynn, Adrien
still
seeks his revenge on Devon. He has
sent Devon
countless letters of the hell he had been through, but has never heard
from Devon, which adds to Adrien’s
fury.
But it is a
woman who may hold the key to soothing Adrien’s angered mind. Saving
the young
damsel in distress might just be the best thing to ever happen to
Adrien Roth.
Jeya
Jenson’s sequel to the award winning book one of the Kith
& Kynn series, Before
Night Falls is a fine example of the author’s talent. While I personally was more “wowed” by book
one, Immortal Beloved is also
a great gothic tale with some tasty vampires. With the POV’s of
recurring
characters by Ms. Jenson, Devon Carnavorn and the ever-present thorn in
my
side, Morgan Saint-Evanston, Immortal
Beloved is rife with excitement, vengeance and power. Adrien is
an
enigmatic hero who a reader can feel his anger and his magnetism
through the
pages. He definitely draws a reader in. Cassie is the balm that soothes
Adrien’s anger and adds lightness, yet heartache to the story as well.
Immortal Beloved is another wonderful
addition to a
readers Jeya Jenson collection. The ending is a surprise I never saw
coming…!
