Nicholas
Cain and Darcy St. James are closer
than twins. Brothers in spirit, one is rarely without the other and
their bond
is as competitive as it is fraternal. And when a friend challenges them
to
prove which has the right to claim the title of England's
greatest lover, neither
of them has any serious interest in the wager at first.
Once the
objective is revealed to be Bronte
Dunmore, the one woman who eluded them, they find that temptation is
impossible
to resist. But will Bronte be able to resist both of them?
I found HIS
WICKED WAYS to be a delightfully
different twist on Regency romance as two men who are closer than
brothers
struggle with a dare that leaves neither truly wanting to win, when the
fate of
their hearts and that of Bronte are involved.
Ms. Fox
strikes a perfect balance, creating a
compromise that engages the reader with the humor, drama and the
characters
around whom she's woven this tale. She proves that, in spite of the
odds,
people can find happiness.
Bronte is
able to have her cake and eat it too,
much to the envy of the reader and this reviewer. Ms. Fox's tale is an
excellent addition to one's bookshelf, and certainly a worthy companion
of her
earlier historical tale, "Winter Thaw".
